Privacy Policy
1. The short version
LOUJSWZ Inc., 6004 Blakeford Dr, Windermere, FL 34786, operates VA Claim Mentor. Questions about this policy go to office@loujswz.com. This policy is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will answer plainly.
We collect the least we can.
We do not sell your information.
We do not send marketing texts.
We never store anything you type into a worksheet.
Everything we store is stored in the United States. You can see it, correct it, or delete it at any time.
2. What we collect
When you use the public site: basic technical information, including IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed, through the measurement tools described in Section 5. These tools run only on our public pages. They never run on your account, your worksheets, or checkout.
When you take the free eligibility check:
We use your answers during your session only, to suggest a starting point. We do not ask for your name or contact information to see your result, and we do not store your answers.
If you accepted measurement tools, two of them (the TikTok Pixel and Google Analytics) record that you used the check: Google Analytics records that you started and finished it, and TikTok records that you finished it. They never record what you answered. Microsoft Clarity never runs on the check.
If you later create an account, we keep one thing from the check: which session it suggested you start with.
When you buy: your name, email address, and billing country and postal code.
Payment card details go directly to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
If you accepted measurement tools on our public pages, our server also tells TikTok that a purchase happened, so we can tell whether our advertising works. That message contains the amount and the currency and, only if you arrived from a TikTok ad, the click and browser identifiers TikTok itself created. It does not contain your name or email address.
Nothing about your claim, your check answers, or your worksheets is ever part of that message.
If you tick the optional box to get email updates, we add your email address to our email list with MailerLite after your purchase completes. You can unsubscribe from any email we send, at any time.
When you create an account: your email address, and a password we store only as a secure one-way hash. We cannot see your password.
When you watch the Guide: our video provider receives the playback requests it needs to stream the video to you (Section 5). Your video player remembers your settings, such as captions, volume, and where you left off, in your own browser. We also record on your account when you finish Session 1, so the rest of the Guide opens for you on any device; that record is deleted with the rest of your account data.
What we never collect:
Anything you type into a worksheet.
Your Social Security number, your DD-214, your military service records, your medical records, or your VA claim file. Do not send these to us. We do not want them, we have no use for them, and we will not review them.
A phone number, because we do not send marketing texts.
3. Why we collect it
We collect this information to:
give you access to what you bought;
keep your account working;
send you transactional messages about your purchase, your account, and your term;
understand which public pages veterans actually read, so we can improve them;
measure whether our advertising works;
meet our tax and legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond what the measurement tools in Section 5 do, which you control through the cookie banner and your browser settings.
4. Worksheets
We do not collect, save, or store anything you type into a worksheet. The on-screen worksheets are a practice space.
What you type stays in your open browser tab.
It is not sent to us or to any service we use.
It is erased when you leave or reload the page.
To keep a completed worksheet, download the fillable Word document from your account and fill it out on your own device. That file stays with you.
5. Who we use, and what they do
Vercel — Hosts and serves the site; runs scheduled jobs for notices and deletion — Requests to the site; functions run in the US-East region
Supabase — Stores accounts and securely stores the worksheet files you download — Email address, hashed password, and account records, in a United States region
Stripe — Processes payment and calculates sales tax — Payment details, billing country and postal code, transaction records
Bunny Stream (bunny.net) — Delivers the video sessions and the public videos — Video playback requests, including IP address and device information needed to stream the video
MailerLite — Sends marketing email to people who opt in — Email address, subscription status
Google Workspace — Sends transactional email and receives replies — Email address, message content you send us
TikTok Pixel and Events API — Measures advertising effectiveness — Public pages and the free eligibility check (page views, and that you finished the check, never the answers); a purchase event sent from our server as described in Section 2
Google Analytics 4 — Measures site usage — Public pages and the free eligibility check (started or finished, never the answers)
Microsoft Clarity — Shows how public pages are used — Public pages only, never the eligibility check, because Clarity records screen content and the check shows your answers on screen
About the last three:
Where they load: only on our home, about, how-it-works, FAQ, blog, and legal pages. The TikTok Pixel and Google Analytics also load on the free eligibility check.
Where they never load: your account, your worksheets, the video sessions, or checkout, regardless of what you chose in the cookie banner.
What they never receive: text you type anywhere on the site, which is masked from them globally, or any answer you gave on the eligibility check.
6. Cookies and your choices
We use three kinds of cookies and similar browser storage:
Necessary: these keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice. They cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
Functional: used by our video player (Bunny Stream) when a video plays, so the player works and remembers your settings, such as captions and where you left off. They are needed to watch the Guide and are not used for advertising.
Measurement: the tools in Section 5. These load only if you accept them.
You can decline measurement, and you can change your mind at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
We honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out without you having to do anything else.
7. Where your information is stored
In the United States. Our database region and our server functions are both pinned to United States regions specifically so this statement is true.
8. How long we keep it
Eligibility-check answers: for your session only. They are not stored.
Worksheet content: never stored.
Account data: for the life of your membership, plus a 30-day download window after your term ends. Then it is deleted on a scheduled basis.
If you are refunded: your access to the Guide ends immediately, your account is closed, and your account data is deleted 90 days after the date you requested the refund.
Transaction records: as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Marketing email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
You do not have to wait for any of these. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (Section 10).
9. If there is a data breach
If personal information is exposed, we will:
Notify affected individuals within 30 days of determining a breach occurred, as required by the Florida Information Protection Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.171). We will do this by email, in plain language: what happened, what was involved, what we have done, and what you can do.
Notify the Florida Attorney General if 500 or more Florida residents are affected.
Post a notice at /security if the incident is public-facing.
You can report a security issue to office@loujswz.com or through /.well-known/security.txt. We acknowledge reports within 24 hours.
10. Your rights
We extend these rights to every customer, everywhere, regardless of what your state's law requires:
See what we hold about you
Correct it
Delete it
Get a copy of it
Opt out of marketing email, at any time, with one click
How to make a request: use Your data in your account settings, or email office@loujswz.com.
We confirm the request came from you through the email address on your account.
We respond within undefined.
We do not charge for it.
If you disagree with how we handled a request, reply to our response and say so, and a second person will review it. You can also contact your state's attorney general.
We extend these rights universally because sorting customers by state to decide who gets basic control over their own information is not a business we want to be in.
11. What we do not do with your information
We do not sell it. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond Section 5. We do not use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We never receive your worksheet content, so it cannot be used for anything.
12. Children
The Guide is sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
13. Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will notify account holders by email and post the change here with a new effective date.
